“What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise.” Oscar Wilde
When you find yourself in the middle of a storm, hang on for the ride. Get your boat to shore as best as you can. During this time of turmoil, the last thing you want to hear is that “it was all for the best”. Banish those statements from well-meaning, yet clumsy, amateur psychologists; yes, simply discard them. They know not what they speak. They might come in love – but they bring no peace.
Now, what you can do is to make the best of your situation. There is a big difference in the two statements:
- It was all for the best – probably not true
- Make the best of it – definitely true
Hope can get you through it. If you hope it, you can believe it. If you believe it, you can achieve it. Hope is a powerful tool in your arsenal of self-growth and personal development. Tap into hope and collect the powerful lessons along the way. You will be stronger and wiser and have more real world experience for the next time a storm blows in.
